Property Description
Step back in time to the classic charm of Big Bear with this rare 1932 log cabin, set on over an acre of pine-studded land in the peaceful community of Fawnskin. Lovingly cared for by the same family for more than 60 years, this 4-bedroom retreat embodies the timeless spirit of mountain living. Inside, original wood floors, exposed log beams, handcrafted cabinetry, and a massive stone fireplace create a warm and authentic gathering space. Rustic details—like the hand-carved staircase and built-in benches—highlight the irreplaceable craftsmanship throughout. Two inviting porches overlook the treetops, offering the perfect setting for quiet mornings or sunset views. A detached bunkhouse with its own bedroom and bathroom provides added privacy for guests, while the property itself carries a touch of Hollywood history—once owned by actor Lew Ayres, who purchased it as a gift for Ginger Rogers. With its vintage character, expansive grounds, and unforgettable setting, this is a rare opportunity to own a true Big Bear legacy property.
